Memory of your Nose was a video art partnership of Nicola Atkinson & Tom Hickmore. Memory of Your Nose was active in the early 1980’s, during which time their work was shown internationally, including at MOMA New York, The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and London’s ICA.
Nicola Atkinson works within the community she inhabits, but her work avoids the do-gooder connotations that come with the “community art” territory. Instead, it displays a bizarre humour and a fine aesthetic quality.
